Abstract

The Salem-Keizer School Board voted to retain and move "Mystery Walk" from Parrish Middle School to a high school as yet unnamed. The parent considered the book to have no literary value and objected to the profanity and violence. "Witches, Pumpkins, and Grinning Ghosts" will be retained in the 16 elementary school libraries that currently hold copies. The board considered its content to have value as a history of Halloween.
