Display of t-shirts highlighting victims of violence
Chetco Community Public Library
Display moved to a room less accessible to children
Photos show three t-shirts and John Kukawsky viewing the t-shirt display.
Three t-shirts on display at the Chetco Community Public Library, above from left to right, reveal the emotional content of the exhibit. John Kukawsky, left, who viewed the exhibit on opening day, said he was alarmed by the number of people affected by violence in the county.
An exhibit of t-shirts decorated by victims of violence on display at the Chetco Community Public Library was moved from a large meeting room to a smaller one to limit access to children. The display was sponsored by the group Curry County Citizens for Human Rights; the purpose of the exhibit was to draw attention to the widespread problem of abuse. It elicited emotional reactions from viewers.
