Abstract

The author summarizes challenges to materials in public libraries in Oregon, as reported in the Oregon Intellectual Freedom Clearinghouse report for 1994-95. No materials were challenged in Estacada's schools and libraries, and most materials that were challenged statewide were retained at their respective locations. The author celebrates intellectual freedom and encourages families to monitor children's selection of reading materials.
