Abstract

The Friends of Fern Ridge Community Library formally expressed its opposition to Ballot Measure 9 because it would lead to censorship and intolerance. If passed, the initiative would prohibit state and local government agencies from using funds or property to encourage homosexuality. The Friends group supports the freedom of libraries to offer materials that reflect different points of view.
