Abstract

The tenth annual report of the Intellectual Freedom Clearinghouse was released; the report covers challenges to 18 books that were made from July 1, 1996 to June 30, 1997 at public and school libraries in Oregon. Of the 18 titles challenged, 16 items were retained, one item was moved from the children's to young adult area, and one item was restricted for use by middle school or older students.
