Library wraps banned books

Abstract

National Banned Books Week, sponsored by the American Library Association, is a time to celebrate the freedom to read. Hood River County Library staff have created a display of selected books that have been banned in the past. Patrons can check out a “mystery” book wrapped in newsprint with only the barcode showing from the display. The ten most challenged books in 2010 include “And Tango Makes Three” and “Twilight” (series).
