Abstract

The Oregon Library Association urged Oregonians to vote against the petition being promoted by the Oregon Citizens Alliance. The petition would prohibit state, regional, or local governments from encouraging or facilitating homosexuality. If passed, the vague language could be used to require libraries to remove materials about homosexuality or written by homosexuals.
