Panel OKs popular library book
Parent's challenged a junior high aged book that had been on the Clarkes School Library shelves for 10 years. The work was written by a literary award winning author. The review committee encouraged parental oversight as the best solution and the book remains on the shelf. Information packets on collection policy are available from the district for parents and interested community members. Other challenged book titles were named in the article to illustrate types of materials that have been questioned over the years.
