Abstract

Springfield Ballot Measure 20-08, the recent charter amendment which prohibits city government from promoting homosexuality, may be tested by the donation of pro-homosexual books to the public library. “Daddy’s Roommate,” “Heather has two Mommies” and “The King Who Outlawed Jellybeans” are at the center of controversy because some residents argue that they are not appropriate for children. The Oregon Citizens Alliance is ready to support any Springfield parent who challenges the books.
