Top Twenty Technology Tools for Teachers

Ann L. Matschiner

The purpose of this session is to engage participants in discovering the ways in which technological resources can function as part of learning environments, and how web-resource tools can be used to enhance their own teaching and their students’ learning. Through current web-based technology teachers can help students and themselves use the most current online resources available for planning, organizing data, developing new skills, and presenting information. The goal for this session is to assist teachers in becoming leaders in their classrooms and schools by demonstrating ways in which they can engage their students in learning through technology. Ways in which teachers can use online bookmarking tools to create a personalized mix of websites relevant to a particular topic will be demonstrated. Participants will explore websites posted on a webmix and begin to create their own collection of websites webmix. Participants will leave the presentation with new web-resource tools and ideas to implement in their classroom Monday morning and ideas to share with their colleagues.
