Abstract

Clinical Scenario: Extensive research has been conducted on the efficacy of constraint induced movement therapy for increasing upper extremity function in the adult post-stroke population. Little is known regarding the efficacy of this treatment in the pediatric population. The purpose of this critically appraised topic is to determine if constraint induced movement therapy is effective in improving upper extremity function in children with hemiplegic cerebral palsy.
