Abstract

Martin Buber’s philosophy of genuine dialogue has been embraced by both educators and psychotherapists as having the potential to transform relationships and enhance communication. However, his theory has not been applied to leadership theory literature. The intent of this paper is to examine how Buber’s theory of I-Thou relationships may be applied to leadership theory to enhance relationships between leaders and followers.
