Abstract

Occupational science and occupational therapy presuppose a relationship between occupation and health, but far from all empirical studies have been able to show this. The reason for inconsistent findings could be that the relationship is contingent on the facet of occupation studied, and also on whether subjective or interviewer-rated aspects of health and functioning are investigated.
