Clinical Bottom Line

Experiments conducted in Belgium provide strong evidence to support the impact of intrinsic goals and autonomy-supportive learning climates on student’s abilities to learn, perform, and persist. The results of the field experiments were highly consistent with each other and lead to: positive learning-related outcomes, deeper processing, and more genuinely engaged students.
