CommonKnowledge Senior Project Award

The Pacific University Libraries present an annual Senior Project Award to recognize outstanding senior projects/theses that are submitted for inclusion in CommonKnowledge. Projects are evaluated by a faculty committee based on their originality of thought, integration of relevant scholarship, and clarity of expression. Projects in all formats—not just papers—are eligible as of 2014. Students from all colleges completing a senior/fourth year project as part of their bachelor degree program may apply.

The winning thesis receives $150. Two theses receive honorable mention and awards of $75 each. To be eligible for the award, the thesis must be (a) nominated by a faculty member (in the department for which the thesis was completed) and (b) submitted by the student for inclusion in CommonKnowledge. All projects submitted for consideration (not just winning projects) will be included in the CommonKnowledge thesis/capstone collection.

The award winners and honorable mention projects are included in this collection.

Note: Questions or submissions for the current year's award may be directed to Johanna Meetz.

Submissions are due no later than the Tuesday following August commencement. Projects completed between the April to August period immediately preceding August commencement are eligible in that year.
