By taking readers on a journey into the classroom of an excellent teacher, this thesis, A Program of Excellence: An Educational Connoisseurship of an Exemplary Elementary Teacher will discover the answers to three main research questions. First, what specific techniques are present in the teaching that promote a positive attitude towards science education? Second, what is present in the classroom environment that promotes an atmosphere conducive to learning, both in science and in general education? Third, what are specific strategies and techniques that make the program effective? The answers to these questions will give insights on excellence in science and general education. Both current and future educators can use this study for ideas on improving, expanding or validating their own practices.
