Abstract

In order for teachers to meet the needs of all students, they should be familiar with the personality traits that affect learning styles. This research project focused on the personality traits of introversion and extraversion. The purpose of the project was to look at how the personality traits of introversion and extraversion function in a secondary classroom. Specifically, I attempted to examine how introversion and extraversion were reflected in student learning styles and attitudes. Using the tools of a personality type indicator and a learning style survey, I concluded that introversion and extraversion affect students' study habits, as well as their attitudes toward classroom structure and activities.
