Abstract

Educators have the awesome opportunity to teach students to be creative thinkers. Unfortunately, in an effort to mold and shape the perfect student, an insistence on conformity stifles individual thinking until students have the "creativity educated out of them. " This paper is an analysis of a first grade teacher, and her role in the development of creative thinking in her classroom.
