Two local libraries get book challenges

Michelle Boisvenue-Fox, a reference librarian at the McMinnville Public Library, sets up a display at the library for National Banned Books Week; This book by Jack M. Bickham was formally challenged last year at the McMinnville Public Library.
Books in two municipal Yamhill county libraries were challenged during 1998, out of a total of 17 items challenged in Oregon. Both books were retained. Books challenged in libraries across the U.S. in previous years were on display at the McMinnville Public Library.
