The Oregon Intellectual Freedom Clearinghouse 14th annual report listed information on the 47 challenges to library materials between July 1, 2000 and June 30, 2001. 46 of the challenged items were retained, and one was removed. The release of the report was timed to coincide with the national Banned Books Week, Sept. 22-29.
