The Citizens Committee on Crime Comics
Decided to continue to find and ban/censor comics with objectionable material
The Citizens Committee on Crime Comics voted to continue its work on banning crime comics but also decided not to pursue additional legislation against them. They adopted resolutions restricting their activities to Portland because of difficulty finding enough people to read through all comics to check for lewdness, "blood and thunder," or the glorification of crime. Another resolution was passed stating that a book could only be banned if 2 people recommended it. Other resolutions are described.
