Witches by Colin Wilson
Wayne Suggs, Jerry Stutzman
Book was retained
The Albany library board voted to keep the book ‘Witches’ on the libraries shelves. The book will remain in its place alongside other books dealing with topics such as the occult, astrology, and UFO’s. Library director Wayne Suggs said the board took a close look at the book after receiving the complaint from Jerry Stutzman back in January. Stutzman said that the book contained satanic passages and had tremendous power over the curious. The board disagreed and Suggs said that it is basically a history of witchcraft from ancient times to present day. The article ended with Suggs saying that it is up to people to decide what they want to read.
