Putting books that have been challenged in the past year in a closet in its front lobby, the Newport Public Library presents its annual display to mark Banned Book Week, which began Saturday and continues through Oct. 3. Among the books suggested for removal across the United States in the past year are "Bridge to Tarabithia," "Catcher in the Rye," "Grapes of Wrath," "Of Mice and Men," "Blaze and the Gypsies," "Woman in the Mists" and "Adventures of Huckleberry Finn."
