“Daddy’s Roommate,” one of three pro-homosexual children’s books donated to the Springfield Public Library, was accepted by the Children’s Librarian. Judy Harold said she chose the book using established criteria, and did not try to determine the impact of Springfield Charter amendment 109. The books were donated to test the new law which prohibits the city from promoting homosexuality. The Oregon Citizens Alliance, the conservative group which sponsored the anti-gay rights amendment, is challenging an attempt to repeal the measure by United Springfield.
