The Beaverton City Library is struggling to enforce rules about appropriate patron behavior and acceptable use of computers. Recent problems include men viewing pornography on library computers and committing sexual acts in the library. Residents want more filters on computers and more consistent consequences for lewd acts to protect children and to provide an environment that is safe for all ages. While free public access to computers is important, there is a need to enforce acceptable use of Internet/computer rules.
