Clackamas County libraries will celebrate and discuss the freedom to read during Banned Books Week. The top ten most challenged library titles in 2011 are available to check out. Many of the books are challenged for containing offensive language, violence, and sexually explicit themes that could be considered unsuitable for the target age group. In honor of the 30th anniversary of Banned Books Week, a national expert on intellectual freedom will visit the Oregon City Public Library.
