Hold that book, but you're risking your privacy: Guest Opinion
Jeremy Graybill, Library System Communications Director
Multnomah County Library users are concerned about the threat to confidentiality when using the library’s Web site. To post reviews and ratings of items, users have to give personal identifying information to a Canadian company, Bibliocommons. Though the library has a contract with the company to keep users’ information private, the language on the site gives the company the right to distribute the information “at the sole risk of the user.”
