Brief Bio Sketch

Greg is a high school Math, Science, and Technology teacher at the Catalyst school in the Newberg School District. He has been in public education for 26 years. Greg also teaches Quantitative Research for Concordia and George Fox Universities. Greg has spent his life practicing how to teach math and statistics in ways that help people appreciate the beauty of the subject and “get it”. Greg is also retired Navy.

Abstract

Data-driven decision making includes a set of skills that is necessary for educators to make decisions concerning the allocation of teacher time and financial resources. Without these skills teachers do not have the tools necessary to allocate resources in a way that enhances equity and increases student achievement.
