Brief Bio Sketch

Laura Dimmler, PhD, MPA

Director, School of Healthcare Administration and Leadership, and Master of Healthcare Administration Program; Administrative Director, PhD in Education and Leadership Program, with Pacific University Oregon (since 2008). Dr. Dimmler earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from San Diego State University, and a Master in Public Administration from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. She also has a doctorate from the University of Colorado’s Graduate School of Public Affairs. Dr. Dimmler has taught in healthcare management programs for more than twenty-five years, including teaching positions with Meharry Medical College, Cornell University, and Montana State University.

Mary E. Von, DHEd, PA-C, DFAAPA: Mary earned her Master of Science degree from the Arizona School of Health Sciences, her PA certificate from the University of Washington School of Medicine, and completed her doctoral studies at A.T. Still University. Mary has been with Pacific University’s School of Physician Assistant Studies since 2003, and she has held several positions within the school: Director of Clinical Education, Director of Academic Education, Associate Director, and Director since 2014. Mary is a senior member on the Faculty Development Council with the Physician Assistant Education Association and is an alumna of The Institute of Engaged Leadership in Online Learning with the Sloan Consortium and Penn State World Campus. Dr. Von was the primary designer of Pacific's first inter-professional PhD program - the PhD in Education and Leadership - which started in Fall 2017.
