Abstract

A clinical investigation of the Wesley-Jessen DURASOFI' ( phemecol ) Contact Lenses was conducted on the fitting techniques and evaluation of the lens characteristics at Pacific University College of Optometry. The study involved nineteen subjects of which eighteen were deemed successful. A correlation is made between the Wesley-Jessen recommended trial base curve and fitting 0.2 mm flatter than the recommended trial base, based on the central keratometer readings. Recommendations. for future fitting procedures as well as the advantages and disadvantages are discussed.
