Description
Early identification and treatment of psychosis is not a new idea. Early intervention for psychosis surfaced at the start of the 1990s in Melbourne, Australia, and has spread worldwide, successfully reducing the duration of untreated psychosis. But the role of occupational therapy in this new approach deserves a better look, particularly the profession's unique perspective in relation to community involvement and identity development.
