Citizen Interest is vital in keeping libraries free

Abstract

In this follow up to Wesley Doak’s meeting in Pendleton, the author of the article argues that citizen interest is just as important to libraries as tax support. The author describes the process of a book challenge in Pendleton High School and other issues of censorship in Umatilla County.
