From pictures to a thousand words: A journey from image to narration in the third grade

Abstract

Many researchers have studied the role of the arts in education and found that when they are prominently placed within the curriculum. learning is more likely to take place than when they are absent. In this study. a class of third-graders was followed on an odyssey of creativity which began with an art activity and resulted in a compilation of fantastic stories written in their language arts class.
