Curriculum decisions: Home schooling puts parents in control

Abstract

Two viewpoints of the benefits in home schooling for being free to select appropriate materials for children. Sue Renich considered 'My Brother Sam is Dead" to not be suitable for grade school children; Candace Syman-Degler disagreed and expressed praise for the broad guidelines for classroom materials used by the Springfield school district.
