Book banning

Abstract

In this opinion piece, Nellie Rogers is worried that the protests at the public library could give Oregon a bad name for bigotry, stupidity, and un-Americanism. She states that witchcraft is also a religion and that it is protected by the same rights as the Pentecostal Church and Faith Bible Church. Rogers explains some about the beliefs of witches and then talks about how the murders of witches in the dark ages were brought on by ignorance. She ends by saying that whenever bigotry comes up it is destroyed and by getting rid of bigotry quickly it protects all forms of religion, even those that don’t realize they need protection.
