Decision won't affect family viewing habits

17 November 2003

Abstract

The author of this editorial raises the question about the role government has in "telling families how to run their lives." This is in response to the Springfield City Council's decision to ask the Springfield Library to change its policy so that youth under 16 would no longer be able to borrow R-rated movies. The author doubts this policy change will impact what films families view at home.
