The Baker County Library District offered a free movie showing of "The Hunger Games" and follow-up discussion to local teens. Library staff received several complaints from people objecting to the “glorification of extreme cruelty and violence” in the film. Some feared that youth would be inspired to attack each other after watching the movie. This editorial argues that protestors should read all the books in the series to understand the anti-war message, and themes of morality, suffering, justice and human dignity.
