This prezi document (with audio) explains a Program Development & Evaluation course exercise to assist a small liberal arts university's mission to promote health and wellness through a fitness bootcamp program. The bootcamp serves members of the Pacific University community - students, staff, and faculty - and is administered by the Exercise Science Department with stakeholder support from Human Resources. The document explores the nuts-and-bolts of program development and evaluation theories, appropriate measures (indicators), three feasible hypothetical evaluation designs, as well as ethical and culturally-relevant approaches to conducting an evaluation of similar programs. Stakeholders who work with similar (university, corporate, or wellness center) fitness programs can garner basic evaluation knowledge and application examples. Disclaimer: this product - although overseen by a professor with evaluation methodological training and experience - was developed and created by undergraduate students as part of a program evaluation upper-division course.
