Abstract
Springfield School District is reviewing both the book "My Brother Sam is Dead" and a Thurston High School drama production after parents questioned the appropriateness of these works for their children's schooling. Superintendent Jamon Kent has appointed a committee to review the book, and has received the report on the drama production which he will release after sharing it with the Board. Deciding what "age appropriate" means and community standards interpretation is discussed.
