We tend to anthrapomorphisize clocks by the way we name the parts but our bodies can also be considered clocks of a sort. Hair color, skin tone and body size are all indications of our age. If a lifetime is considered individually, each stage is a one-time only experience but, collectively, we repeat life over and over again, just like the hands of a clock endlessly cycling around.
