Abstract
The Madison Middle School principal cancelled the showing of a Channel One program for its views of a classic, nude statue. Channel One, a satellite news program designed for teens, offers daily programming about current events. The program was controversial because of the repeated close-ups of Michelangelo's David. The school's media specialist suggested that the program would be more appropriate for an art class where the sculpture could be studied in the context of artwork.
