Library board votes no on Measure 9

27 September 1992

The Douglas County Library board of trustees unanimously approved a resolution to oppose Ballot Measure 9, stating that the measure poses a threat of censorship to library collections. The constitutional amendment would prohibit state and local governments from using public funds or property to promote homosexuality. The measure would also require schools to teach that homosexuality is wrong and unnatural.
