Central labor council to object if library shelves log of senator's record

13 July 1956

The Central Labor Council said they will object strongly to the widespread circulation through public libraries of "The Documented Record of Sen. Wayne Morse," published by the Oregon Republican Central Committee. They stated that any campaign records could be obtained by contacting official Democratic or Republican headquarters and should not be disseminated by the library. A spokesman for the library said that the American Library Association generally agrees with this sentiment.
