Abstract
In this letter to the editor, the parent of a North Marion student objects to the Impressions text books, part of the elementary school curriculum. The books are described as "negative" and "graphic," not the best choice for young children. Though Supt. Wolfe suggested the books were intended to appeal to reluctant readers, the Impressions series was removed from the curriculum. The parent upholds the removal as being responsive to the community, not a result of censorship.
