10 October 1954

Abstract

The author of this article lauds the efforts of President Eisenhower, Vice President Richard Nixon, several press corps, and the individuals who have fought over the previous year against censorship efforts. The article discusses several instances, including scenarios in Georgia, San Antonio, Youngstown, and Indiana where efforts at literature censorship were thwarted. This type of censorship is then compared to Soviet and Nazi censorship.
