Stay of execution for books

In the Anchorage Alaska School District they are putting a new policy in place that will help with books that are being challenged and banned. The current system has books stranded in banned status for long periods of time. This new policy will help books to be either approved for use or banned in a quicker fashion while the issue is still fresh in the minds of those involved. The article describes the old and new policies.
