Abstract
In this opinion piece, Arne Landsberg says that ideally a community would have a public forum where any person could express his views and opinions. At first the library seemed like an ideal forum. Unfortunately the library is vulnerable to those who cast votes and with fewer funds means less space and time for other displays. Landsberg offers up a solution that the community provides a place for the expression of opinions, maybe in the form of a sculpture of a soap box in Central Park which would be engraved with rules of use.
