Abstract
The lawsuit that was filed in the U.S. District Court by Library Counsel* against the Seaside Public Library was decided in favor of Library Counsel. An Enterprise, Oregon man filed the lawsuit claiming that the library’s meeting room policy violated constitutional rights to free speech and equal protection. The library was ordered to pay a $10,500 penalty for denying community room access for an educational meeting that included religious content. The library also removed the prohibition on using library rooms for meetings with religious content. *"Liberty Counsel" misprinted as "Library Counsel"
