Comics should be comical, youth say

10 October 1948

This article reviewed a study of 150 4th to 8th graders and their opinions of comic books. All the children reported that they read comic books. The children preferred "funny" comics the most, followed by true comics, sports comics, classic comics, teenage comics, and boy-girl comics. These children did not express a particular interest in comics containing controversial material, implying that the main buyers of those comics are older children and adults.
