OCA charges censorship in county library

10 June 1993

Cary Cound of the Oregon Citizen's Alliance charged the Josephine County libraries of censorship when library staff in Cave Junction and Grants Pass refused to display materials the OCA had produced about homosexuality. Library staff were following established policy which prohibits them from displaying partisan materials. Cound questioned the library system's selection policy and asserted materials chosen recently promote homosexuality.
